Runaway boulders are big round rocks that can be found around the map that you can use to dislodge and use to deal with enemies. It is genius how Epic Games encourage players to use different tactics to deal with enemies causing a freshness to the gameplay and keeping players more engaged with the game.

You can find these Runaway Boulders in different locations on the map, including Seven Outpost II, Logjam Lotus, Shifty Shafts, Rave Cave, Reality Falls, Sleepy Sound, Tilted Towers, Sanctuary, and many more.

You can dislodge Runaway Boulders in various ways. The one that you probably might have guessed is using the pickaxe. Choose your pickaxe with Y on Xbox, Triangle on PlayStation, or F on PC, and then go the opposite direction of where you want the boulder to roll and hit the base rocks to send the Boulder down.

In situations where you can’t use your pickaxe, for instance, when you are under heavy fire, you can use the weapon that you have already equipped. Same as the pickaxe, shoot the base rocks of the boulder to dislodge it. You can see the health bar on how much more damage you must deal to make the boulder dislodge.
