Disney Dreamlight Valley is a compelling adventure life-sim filled with Disney/Pixar heroes and villains alike. One of the coolest things about the game is the personalization. With your character alone, you can design them as you see fit, from their features to the clothes they wear. From there, you can also customize your Disney Dreamlight Valleyย home. We will show you how you can unlock and completely personalize your home inside and out.

How to Customize your Home in Disney Dreamlight Valley

Before you can worry about customizing your home, you must unlock it first. Thankfully, this happens near the beginning of the game during your starter quests with Merlin. You must follow the questline for a bit before your home is unlocked. The vines covering it will clear, and you will be able to start personalizing the house.

Initially, you won’t have much to customize your home within Disney Dreamlight Valley. However, based on the Founder’s Pack you have, specific items may be unlocked already.

To get more things to add to your home, you can find and craft them once you have the recipes for them and access to the crafting table. There are more than a dozen categories to play around with, too, so that you can truly make this space your own over time.

Here are the furniture categories you can manage:

  • Essentials
  • Decor
  • Tables
  • Beds
  • Seating
  • Storage
  • Appliance
  • Electronics
  • Utilities
  • Art
  • Lighting
  • Foliage
  • Rugs
  • Miscellaneous

Alongside those, you can also check out the home building features inย Disney Dreamlight Valley:

  • Trimmings
  • Wallpaper
  • Floors
  • Doors
  • Windows
  • Walls
  • Ceiling

To decorate, go inside your home and open up your inventory. Once open, choose the “Furniture” tab, and you will see all the categories. You can even view the home from various angles to get a better idea of how your decorating looks.

With that said, remember that the more features you add, the more space you will need. So, don’t neglect to visit Scrooge McDuck and handle a few of his quests. Additionally, remember to focus on the Valley too. Completing certain quests in Disney Dreamlight Valley will help you upgrade your home so you can add more rooms and finish customizing the house to your desire.
