This article is over 2 years old and may contain outdated information.

One of the currently most sought-after Scout Rifles of Destiny 2: Season of Plunder is the Touch of Malice Exotic, which can be further enhanced by unlocking its Catalyst: Rapid Hit. Rapid Hit offers a powerful effect that temporarily increases weapon Stability and Reload Speed whenever the user lands Precision Hits in rapid succession. This effect lasts for two seconds at a time and can stack based on the number of Precision Hits landed. For example, the Reload Speed stat can go from 5 all the way to a massive 60. Continue reading to learn how to get the extremely practical Touch of Malice Catalyst in Destiny 2.

Unlocking The Touch of Malice Catalyst In Destiny 2

Unlocking The Touch of Malice Catalyst In Destiny 2

To unlock the Touch of Malice Catalyst in Destiny 2, Guardians must solve a puzzle that involves players searching for black orb Relics within various sections of the King’s Fall Raid. While one person stands on a glowing plate to spawn the orbs, the rest of the Raid party must collect the Relics and deposit them at a central location.

The spawn point of Relics can vary during each run; therefore, it is challenging to state the potential locations where the orbs might appear. Therefore, it is crucial to communicate openly with teammates to find each one before bringing it back to the depository. A timer will begin once the first Relic has been held, which might cause panic if all the orbs have yet to be found. Hence, a good strategy would be to find all the Relics beforehand and simultaneously “dunk” them into the central location.

As the crew searches for the Relics in the King’s Fall Raid to unlock the Touch of Malice Catalyst in Destiny 2, a Guardian wielding the Touch of Malice must continue to stand on a specific plate. This circular plate does not change positions and can be found in the same location during each run. Here are where these plates can be found:

No.  Section Plate Location Details Depository
1 Raid Entrance Investigate the left side of the wide-open chamber to find the plate behind a short, crumbled wall. Deposit the Relics to the prominent statue at the center of the chamber, atop the covered roundabout.
2 Golgoroth’s Cellar Investigate the alcove where the hidden chest of Golgoroth’s lair can be found. The depository altar is in a hole directly next to the hidden chest’s position.
3 Transept This final plate can be found at the starting point of the second hidden bridge near the exit. Deposit the Relics at an elevated altar located above the entrance of the Transept.

Once all the Relics of the Transept have been delivered, a secret entrance will open, revealing a room full of Relics. Guardians must quickly rush about the room and deposit all of them to unlock the Touch of Malice Catalyst in Destiny 2.
