It is a big day for Santa Monica Studios. Their most anticipated game so far has reached a milestone today. God of War Ragnarok Gold status is official! Today on their official Twitter account, the studio announced that the game reached gold. This happened a month ahead of its release. The God of War Ragnarok release is still set for November 9 and I don’t know about you but we can’t wait to play it. This game will make full use of the PS5 capabilities. It’ll have some good graphics modes and most likely use the haptic feedback from the DualSense controller as well.

God of War Ragnarok Gold Status Announced One Month Before Release

If we look back at how this saga has grown, the journey has been long. Back in the day when we had a different Kratos and we were playing the titles on our PS2 or PS3, the game had a different feeling. Now, the game’s director took the risk of innovating the game and it paid off. God of War Ragnarok’s release promises to bring a lot of things that players loved from the first game. Besides that, the game will last the same as the first one. Knowing that the sequel has gone gold is something amazing for the studio.

We are thrilled to announce that #GodofWarRagnarok has gone gold!

On behalf of SMS and all of our partners, thank you to the fans for supporting us over the course of development. We’re almost to launch and can’t wait for you to play on November 9! 💙 pic.twitter.com/vptHyKJ1JP

For those who don’t know much about the game, this title is a direct sequel to 2018’s God of War. It follows the story of Kratos and Atreus as they either cause or stop Ragnarok. We still have to see how this plays out when the God of War Ragnarok release gets here. All players can pre-order the game right now through the PS Store. Also, with the new PlayStation Stars program, you can get some points. Pre-ordering the game is part of one of the campaigns that’ll net you a few points with this new rewards program.
