Sonic fans can finally set foot in the world of Sonic Frontiers and roam as fast as they can in the vast islands of the game. They can also complete some fantastic quests, gather items to upgrade and level up, and experience a wonderful journey. Nonetheless, Sonic fans would want to experience playing the game as Super Sonic, so here is how to play as Super Sonic in Sonic Frontiers.

How to Play as Super Sonic in Sonic Frontiers

If there is a Sonic game, there you can turn into Super Sonic as well. The process of turning into the ultimate form of Sonic differs from game to game, and this is also the case for Sonic Frontiers.

The straightforward answer to how to play as Super Sonic is to wield all 7 Chaos Emeralds and collect 50 rings. But this answer will probably make you even more confused than before. So here is the elaboration.

In order to collect all 7 Chaos Emeralds, you need to collect Vault Keys first. These keys are scattered in the environment that you can find by exploring. Once you have enough keys, you will be able to unseal these vaults and get the Chaos Emeralds. Finding rings shouldn’t be a problem because they are scattered all over the map.

The main reason you need the Super Sonic form is to defeat the colossal beings in the game called Titans. No matter how hard you try, you can’t defeat them in the normal form of Sonic. There, you have to turn into Super Sonic to defeat these Titans and progress through the story.

Unfortunately, you can only use the Super Sonic form only when you are fighting against a Titan. Once you defeat the colossal, Sonic will return to his normal form. After the fight is over, you will also gain access to the new islands.

Although many fans would love to play the whole game as Super Sonic, that would make the game unbalanced and not fun. But who knows, maybe in the near future, the studio will add it to the game, or maybe some fans will discover a way to play the whole game as Super Sonic.
