Warzone 2.0, while not a replacement for the O.G. Warzone game, brings us some significant changes. One of those big changes is your interaction with enemies. There is a new feature that allows you to actually add an enemy player to your squad. This can completely turn the tide of a match in your favor. We’ll show you what you need to do to add an enemy to your squad in Warzone 2.0 using the Assimilation feature.

Assimilation Feature for Enemy Squad in Warzone 2.0

In Warzone 2.0, you’ll notice plenty of familiar features abound alongside the new ones. There are the classic Solo, Duo, Trio, and Quad Battle Royale matches. There are also new modes, weapons, and vehicles.

A cool feature to play around with in Warzone 2.0 is the Assimilation feature. What this means is that you can now add an enemy player to join up with your squad instead in a Warzone 2.0 match.

However, in the classic gameplay modes, there are limitations to this feature. You can only add an enemy player as long as it does not break the limit. So, if you’re playing Trio, then you can only have three players in a squad, and so on with the others.

If you want more freedom, then you can jump into the Unhinged game mode. In this Warzone 2.0 mode, you can add an enemy to your squad beyond the limit. Unhinged is known to break this limit, so you can have a squad of up to six players. Imagine having this go up against a smaller squad of just three.

Assimilation with an enemy in Warzone 2.0 is a great way to stay in the match if you lose most of your squad. Plus, it’s an awesome way to overwhelm opponents in Unhinged mode.

Now that we understand what it is, it’s time to learn how to use it.

You can follow the steps below for a quick way to utilize the Assimilation feature:

  1. Open the ‘Ping’ menu
  2. Select either ‘Invite’ or ‘Join’ nearby enemy squads
  3. If someone requests you, select either ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’ on the pop-up notification
  4. If you request another player, wait for the player to accept or reject the invite

Adding an enemy to your squad, or joining someone else’s squad, is as easy as that in Warzone 2.0. You can even use the Proximity Chat, the location-based chat feature, to simply ask someone to join your squad or to accept your invite.
