To unlock the M13B Assault Rifle and Medic Vest in Warzone, you must defeat the Chemist, a Stronghold Boss in DMZ’s Al Mazrah. He will appear when playing the extraction game mode, DMZ. This enemy has significantly more HP than enemy soldiers or player operators. He even is accompanied by his own squad to protect him while he patrols the premises. Accordingly, to find this boss, you must venture into the toxic radiation zone of Al Mazrah on DMZ.
Finding the Chemist in Warzone 2 DMZ
The Chemist’s radiation zone location in Al Mazrah of Warzone 2 DMZ is marked on the map with a purple radiation icon inside a yellow ring. The exact spot where this circle spawns is randomized, so you check your in-game map to see where you should head upon entering Al Mazrah in Warzone 2.

The radiation zone in DMZ is dangerous, as it’s enveloped with a deadly gas that will deal DoT to any player character within its vicinity. You must wear a gas mask before entering the yellow-radiated circle. The Chemist does not have his map marker but will spawn in a random spot within the ring. Moreover, he does not stand guard in one location but will walk around, patrolling the zone with his minions.
Once you have found the Chemist in Warzone 2 DMZ, be cautious, as unloading an entire magazine on this Stronghold Boss will likely not kill this opponent. The Chemist is heavily armored and can both give and take a substantial amount of damage. Facing this foe with teammates will make the takedown easier.
Once the Chemist goes down, your squad members must decide who can extract the M13B since only one individual can leave with the AR. After the extraction, this player will unlock the M13B in their arsenal for future use. Not only M13B, with the season 3 update defeating the Chemist, is the easiest way to get a Medic Vest.
