How to Obtain Thunder Wave in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet?

via NintendoTo get Thunder Wave in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need to head to the Pokemon Center in Area One, close to the Mesagoza City door, and he will reward you with Thunder Wave.

However, you must achieve a few prerequisites before he gives you the Thunder Wave. When you complete the introduction part of the game and have Nemona by your side at the top of the lighthouse, you’ll be free to roam Area One, the open world in the early game. As you explore the area, head toward Mesagoza City and follow the next steps:

  1. You will see a man standing behind a counter when you get to the Pokemon Center, next to the door to Mesagoza City. He has a yellow text bubble above his head, and it can’t be missed. He is the key to obtaining Thunder Wave.
  2. Interact with the man; he will say he has a lovely prize for you. However, before that, you need to defeat four trainers in Area One.
  3. Turn your way back, and you will see a bunch of other trainers roaming around. Engage in combat and ensure you defeat four before speaking with the man.
  4. Once you talk with him, he will give you Thunder Wave TM.

Now, to teach your Pokemon moves, you need these Technical Machines (TMs). As you see, this one is an early-game TM and is not that hard to find and get. Thunder Wave is a pretty reliable move; it launches a jolt of electricity that paralyzes the target and can be a turning point in many battles. If you are with an electric Pokemon that isn’t yet trained in Thunder Wave, well, this is a perfect solution for you.
