As we all know, a heap of ‘tri-movie-length’ hardships could have been avoided if Frodo had just flown or fast-traveled to Mount Doom. Fortunately, Pilgor does not have to go to such lengths to destroy the Purity Ring during Dilbo’s Journey in Goat Simulator 3. All you have to do is find the ring and hurl it into the fiery depths from whence it came. That said, finding where the volcanic Mount Doom ripoff is located might be a challenge for some, so I’ll give you some pointers on where to go down below.
Dilbo’s Journey Quest Locations in Goat Simulator 3
For reference, Dilbo’s Journey begins at a small hobbit home atop a hill slightly south of the Yakedo Hot Springs. Follow the road up the hill and bash down the circular door of the quaint abode to obtain the Purity Ring. Similar to how Bilbo and Frodo were able to become invisible when they put on The Ring, you can have Pilgor equip the Gear to hide himself from “impure beings.” In actuality, it just produces a darkening effect that will more or less blind your vision, so I recommend keeping it off when completing this quest.
Your next step to completing Dilbo’s Journey in Goat Simulator 3 is to find the location of Mount Inferno. While this volcano does not appear as a named spot on your map, it does offer a small blotch of orange to signify that lava is present, which makes things easier for us. That said, open your map and fast-travel to the Windtop Goat Tower; once you arrive, descend the ridge southward into the lava pool below.
The entrance into Mount Inferno is quite visible once you’re standing atop the rocks in the pool of lava at the site. From the spot where you find the Big Brother Gear (which is supposed to be the Eye of Sauron), face the mountainside. Enter the cavernous entrance to discover the interior of the volcano. Finally, cast yourself into the fiery chasm to be teleported to an “afterlife-esque” area. No puzzle involved here; simply head towards the light to complete the Dilbo’s Journey quest in Goat Simulator 3. For your efforts, you’ll receive the Pilgor The Grey Gear, reminiscent of Gandalf’s attire in LoTR.
