Recent Disney Dreamlight Valley characters like Woody bring new missions to complete, like the “Failing Better” quest. Once Woody joins the Valley, you’ll get a number of different Friendship Quests for him. “Failing Better” is one of those quests. In fact, it’s the first one for Woody. So, if you’re ready to help out one of our favorite toys, check out our guide. It will help you get through the mission fast so you can move on with Woody’s Friendship path.

Poor Woody is still trying to adjust to everything; unfortunately for him, things are harder than they seem. Although he wants to help Remy out and cook, he’s not used to cooking real food other than toy food. So, it’s time to give him a helping hand.

Disney Dreamlight Valley How to Complete Failing Better

So, if you want to complete the “Failing Better” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley, prepare to cook and eat some not-so-pleasant food.

Here are all the steps for “Failing Better”:

  1. Speak to Woody and Remy
  2. Speak to Woody again, make the 2 recipes he gives you, and return to Remy
  3. Talk to Woody and follow him to Dazzle Beach to gather items to bring to Goofy
  4. Meet Woody at the Carousel, find the Memory, and speak with Woody

Let’s break down each step so you can complete the “Failing Better” quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley without issue.

“Failing Better” Step 1

After you speak to Woody to get the quest, head over to Remy to learn about Woody’s failed cooking attempts. Remy will give you the two dishes Woody made: Salted Garlic Cheesecake and Gooey Paste. After you eat them (try to stomach them), speak to Remy once more to move the quest along.

“Failing Better” Step 2

Next up to complete “Failing Better” in Disney Dreamlight Valley, return to Woody. Since he wants to improve his relationships with everyone in the Valley, you’ll help him cook something better for Remy. He’ll give you two recipes: Vegetarian Pizza and Cheesecake.

Vegetarian Pizza Recipe:

  • x2 Any Vegetable
  • x1 Tomato
  • x1 Cheese
  • x1 Wheat

Cheesecake Recipe:

  • x1 Cheese
  • x1 Wheat
  • x1 Sugarcane
  • x1 Any Fruit

Take these to Remy, and he’ll forgive Woody.

“Failing Better” Step 3

Speak to Woody and follow him to Dazzle Beach. He’ll explain his attempts to make Goofy happy that didn’t turn out well. So, your next task to complete “Failing Better” in Disney Dreamlight Valley is to gather some items in the biome:

  • x3 Wheat
  • x3 Cod

You must catch the Cod, not use what you might have in your Inventory. Show these items to Woody and then head over to Goofy to show him the items.

Now, we can meet up with Woody in front of the Carousel. It looks a little rough inside, so you’ll have to clean up the junk scattered around. Once you’re finished, a Memory will fly out. Examine the Memory and return to Woody to finish the quest.
