Want to know where to find Komala in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet? As you travel through the new region of Paldea, you’ll catch over 400 unique Pokémon, but finding some will take effort. While most pocket monsters prefer to walk around the game world, some hide from the players in the trees, and Komala is one of them. To notice and catch Komala, you must be very careful and use the abilities of Koraidon or Miraidon. And our guide is here to help you and tell you where to find Komala in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

To find Komala in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you must travel to the central and eastern parts of the island of Paldea. In addition, the habitats of these pocket monsters are relatively small and scattered around the map, but if you visit the following locations, you will find a few:

  • East Province (Area One-Two)
  • South Province (Area Four)
  • West Province (Area Three)
  • Tagtree Thicket

While you can find Komala in any of these locations, the Tagtree Thicket area is the best place to look. The Komala rarely comes down from the trees, so finding one on the ground is lucky. But since Tagtree Thicket is full of different trees, you should look at each.

In addition, even if you find Komala, catching it is hard. You will have to use your Koraidon or Miraidon’s ability to hit the tree and knock Komala off it. If your Pokémon doesn’t already have this ability, you should first defeat the Stony Cliff Titan Pokémon and only then go in search of Komala.

Once Komala has fallen from the tree, you can throw Quick Balls at it or attack from behind for a chance to capture the Pokémon instantly. But if you don’t do it, choose the right opponent to defeat Komala faster. Since Komala is a Normal-type Pokémon, it is weak against Fighting-type moves and takes 2x damage from these. At the same time, you shouldn’t use Pokemon with Ghost-type attacks, as Komala is immune to these.

If you’ve already found the perfect Komala for your Pokédex, you should win a few more. Detecting or capturing this Pokémon will give you 1-3 Komala Claws, and you can use it on the TM Machine to create the following TMs:

TM025 (facade):

  • Stantler Hair x3
  • Komala Claw x3
  • Tinkatink Hair x3

TM061 (Shadow Claw):

  • Komala Claw x3
  • Mimicyu Scrap x3
