How to Remove Walls and Floors in Dwarf Fortress?
You can remove Walls and Floors in Dwarf Fortress by clicking the Excavation (Pickaxe) icon at the bottom of the screen. Here are the detailed steps on how you should do it.
- Click (or press M) on the Excavation (Pickaxe) icon at the bottom of your screen.
- Click on the Stairs icon with the Red strike in the middle (or press X)
- Choose from the options what you need to remove (Floors, Walls, or tiles)
- Select the Walls or Floors that you need to remove. They will be marked with a removal Icon.
- A dwarf will start to remove the walls or floors that you selected.
- Once the process is completed, your removed walls and floors will be gone. And you are done!
Remember, You can not remove objects such as Furniture, Doors, etc., with this method; only Walls and Floors can be removed using this method. Also, you must make sure the game is not in the Pause mode.
