While promoting her latest film, “80 for Brady,” Jane Fonda reflects on marriage to her third husband, Ted Turner.
She revealed that retiring from the entertainment industry was influenced by a happy-ever-after thought with Ted Turner.

The award-winning actress shared the same knack for acting kike her famous father, Henry Fonda. She began her career in the 1950s, appearing in Broadway productions before becoming an onscreen star.

Over the years, Jane Fonda’s acting career improved, and she gained recognition, amassing significant roles, a worldwide fan base, and receiving numerous accolades. Despite the fame, in 1991, the actress opted for the back burner, retiring from her career to face family life with her billionaire husband.

Interestingly, this was not the first time she became a wife. In fact, Jane Fonda’s marriage had failed two times in the past, first to French film director Roger Vadim and her second ex-husband, activist Tom Hayden.

Still, somehow, her romance with business mogul and CNN founder Ted Burner felt like bliss, and she sacrificed her career for the hope of a fairytale affair.

Jane Fonda Reflects on Marriage To Ted Turner

Jane Fonda and Ted Turner remained married for ten years, and shortly after her marriage to the business magnate, she surprised fans by letting go of her first loveโ€”acting. In her words:

“I left for 15 years, when I married Ted Turner, and I did not think I was gonna come back, ’cause when I married him, I thought it’d be forever.”

Following a long hiatus, the Grammy winner returned with a bang, and she has since remained rooted in the game. Her latest project is the soon-to-debut film “80 for Brady,” featuring TV veterans including Sally Field, Lily Tomlin, and Rita Moreno.

Jane Fonda’s marriage to Turner taught her a lesson she rarely realized following previous marriages, but it came after their divorce. During the marriage, she yearned to do moreโ€” build her dream and achieve fulfillment.

Eventually, she decided to pursue her passion and has since inspired millions by sharing her experience in romance and career. At 85, Jane Fonda’s acting is still top-notch, as she gives fans her best self through any character played!
