The Linkpearl Emote is a newly introduced cosmetic Emote of the latest Patch 6.3 inย Final Fantasy XIVย and has players use the Linkshell animation commonly seen during cutscenes of the MSQ and other quests. This action involves the player character putting their fingers close to their ear to listen to another communicator. Similar to the tiny microphones and audio earpieces of the modern world,ย FFXIVย adventurers use Linkshells to communicate with others over long distances. Once exclusive to cutscenes, the Linkpearl Emote has now become obtainable for all Warriors of Light who participate in the game’s PvP activities.ย

Unlocking the Linkpearl Emote in FFXIV

Crystalline Conflict Arena in Final Fantasy XIV

To unlock the Linkpearlย Emote inย Final Fantasy XIV, players must reach Rank 5 in Series 3 of the game’s PvP content by competing in Crystalline Conflict or Frontlines. Similar to past Series, participation should be the core focus, as both winning and losing will reward participants with the EXP and currency needed to unlock the Emote.

The Linkpearl Emote in FFXIVย is not called the “Linkpearl Emote” in the list of rewards for Series 3. Instead, it is referred to as “Etiquette โ€“ Discrete Discussions.” Similar to other cosmetics Emotes, players must acquire this Etiquette booklet and use it on their character to unlock the Emote. Once players have unlocked the action, they can activate the Linkpearl Emote inย Final Fantasy XIVย by typing “/linkpearl” into the chat or adding the Emote to their hotbar. This Emote will doubtless be excellent for roleplayers to recreate scenes from the game’s story or take creative screenshots with their friends.ย

Reaching Rank 5 in Series 3 might sound daunting for those who have never participated in PvP content, but the procedure is relatively easy to do. As long as players clear the Frontline Roulette every day for bonus participation rewards, they will eventually receive the EXP and currency needed to get the Linkpearl Emote inย FFXIV. As noted above, winning or losing is not important, as participation is always rewarded. Moreover, completion of a single Roulette activity should take no less than 20-30 minutes, so casual players do not need to worry about investing a large amount of time into PvP.

Final Fantasy XIVย is available on PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
