Strange Loop Games has availed update 9.7.8 for the Eco game today, and here’s the complete list of changes as published by the franchise. The update will address several issues on the mod support to improve players’ gaming experience. And now, here are the official patch notes for Eco February 8, 2023, update 9.7.8.
Eco Update 9.7.8 Patch Notes for February 8, 2023
Civics:
- Fixed Contracts would sometimes not pay the intended person but someone totally unrelated.
- Fixed Contracts showed a button label that is only intended to be visible to developers.

Server:
- Improvements:
- The game can now support Mod files exceeding 32 MB.
- Fixed large data transfers for mod downloads could make the server unresponsive and increase the time needed for players to join massively.
- Fixed an issue causing joining players’ mod downloads to lead to lags for all other players on the server.
- Fixed an issue that could lead to players joining a server only seeing a black screen and being unable to play.
Miscellaneous:
- There’s a fix on a cause for random crashes that some players experienced.

Fixes on the official patch notes
- A failed attempt to overthrow the constitution would nonetheless lead to all laws on the server being removed and the web UI no longer displaying prior elections to some players.
- After a failed vote to ratify a constitution, it was impossible to ratify another one in some circumstances.
- In specific circumstances, it was possible to change demographics instantly without permission.
- An issue with LiteDB could lead to the corruption of the statistics database.
- There’s a fix on some of the trees that would have an offset hitbox leading to difficulty targeting their cut logs.
