Troll bogeys can be found by defeating trolls in the game. Trolls can be found in lairs located on various parts of the map. Three known locations for troll lairs are:

For those who do not wish to engage in combat with trolls, troll bogeys can be purchased at J. Pippins Potions in Hogsmeade. Each troll bogey will cost 100 Galleons. This option provides a faster way to complete Professor Onai’s Assignment, but it may not be as satisfying as finding and fighting trolls in the game.
To effectively defeat trolls and armored trolls in Hogwarts Legacy, it is recommended to use a combination of spells. An effective strategy is to get close to their chest and use the spell Expelliarmus, which deals damage and disarms the enemy. Supplementing this spell with Confringo and Incendio will make the battle much easier. With these spells in your arsenal, you will be well-equipped to take on trolls and acquire troll bogeys in the game.
