Throughout your time in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll come across many teachers, such as Professor Matilda Weasley, but who is she? You will encounter Professor Weasley very early on in your game, and she will be around for the duration of the game’s story. Since you’ll be spending so much time working with her, would it be wise to know as much as you can about her? Professor Weasley bravely saved you from the scrutiny of the Hogwarts Headmaster in your first scene within the school during your Sorting Ceremony and helps you out quite a bit throughout the game. Keep reading to learn about who Professor Matilda Weasley is in Hogwarts Legacy.

When you hear the name “Weasley,” you probably think of red hair and had-me-downs. You wouldn’t be entirely wrong think that. Since the game takes place long before the era of Harry Potter and his friends, that would make Professor Matilda Weasley a relative of Ronald and his family. Next to Headmaster Pineus Nigellus Black, Professor Matilda Weasley acts as the Deputy Headmaster of the school and is around for most of your adventures and journeys through the school. Though, it’d be quite heartwarming to see the names Weasley and Black included in the history of Hogwarts, even far before Sirius and Ronald were around. It helps to tie the game’s story into the rest of the franchise, along with the school and classes, of course.

You could think of Professor Minerva McGonagall as the more present-day Professor Matilda Weasley. They both act as mentors to the students and help them through important discoveries during their time at Hogwarts, and both always seem to be on the students’ side. However, you will learn that Professor Matilda Weasley is the Professor of your Transfigurations Class. Though she’s proficient in Transfiguration, she is also great with Curses and even used to work for the Ministry of Magic as a Curse-Breaker.

Professor Matilda Weasley has a strong house-elf companion named Deek, and together, they show you the Room of Requirement and assist you when it comes to learning the Room’s secrets and teach you to transform it into the room that you need during your time at Hogwarts.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things โ€œgeekโ€. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you canโ€™t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
