How To Unlock The Room Of Requirement In Hogwarts Legacy

The Room of Requirement only shows itself to those who truly need it, but some might not know how to unlock the room in Hogwarts Legacy. What purpose could it possibly serve us as aspiring wizards and witches? That’s what we’re here to find out. Nearly everyone playing the game should at least have a good idea of what the Room of Requirement was within the books and movies, but it’s a bit different in Hogwarts Legacy.

How To Get the Room of Requirement

In order to unlock the Room of Requirement, you’re going to have to put in a bit of work. Before you can access the room, you’ll have to complete the first Ancient Trial, which means you’ll have to make it a decent way through the game’s main storyline. Follow the steps below:

  1. 1. Completed the first Ancient Trial

  2. 2. Speak with Professor Weasley

    You will receive a new quest that requires you to meet Professor Weasley in the Astronomy Tower.

  3. 3. You will meet Deek, your the House Elf, and unlock the Room of Requirement

There are a few key features you’ll notice when you enter the Room of Requirement. The first is the Desk of Description, along with the Potting Tables, Potion Stations, Material Refiners, Loom, and Vivarium. Below, I’ll explain what each object is for:

FeaturesDescription
Desk of Description– Allows you to identify gear obtained throughout the world
– Requires 0 materials
– Gear comes with at least one filled trait slot
Potting Tables– Allows you to grow herbs that you’ve collected recipes for in Hogsmeade
– Can plant Dittany, Mallowsweet, Mandrake, Knotgrass, Chinese Chomping Cabbage, Shrivelfig, Fluxweed, and Venomous Tentacula
Potion Stations– Allows you to produce potions faster with multiple stations
Material Refiners– Allows you to occasionally produce Moonstone
Vivarium– Allows you to conjure up magical beasts and build friendships with them
Loom– Allows you to upgrade your clothing with traits
