How to Get Nifflers and Niffler Fur in Hogwarts Legacy

Roaming the castle and battling enemies isn’t the only thing players can enjoy in Hogwarts Legacy. There is also a host of various creatures and beasts to discover. Among those is the mayhem-causing, yet friendly, Niffler. Despite their adorable appearance, they have a penchant for nabbing shiny things, things that don’t belong to them. But in Hogwarts Legacy, you’ll need to get Nifflers in order to get Niffler Fur. We’ll show where you can do just that in the game.

How to Find Nifflers and Niffler Fur in Hogwarts Legacy

Nifflers are rodent-like magical beasts that stash shiny things in their little pouches. But if you want Niffler Fur, you must track them down. Before you can do that though, you must unlock the Vivarium in The Room of Requirement. This will house all of the beasts you find and tame.

You must complete the main quest “The Elf, The Nab-Slack, and the Loom”. During that quest, you won’t be tasked to get a Niffler then. However, you will get the Nab-Sack so you can safely transport the Nifflers you find to the Room of Requirement.

Now, let’s track down Nifflers in Hogwarts Legacy so we can get some Niffler Fur.

Nifflers and Niffler Fur Location in Hogwarts Legacy

North Ford Bog (Top Left) | North Hogwarts Region (Top Right) | Keenbridge (Bottom Left) | Feldcroft (Bottom Right)

You can search for Nifflers in Niffler Dens tucked away throughout the grounds. The following areas are indicated on the map above:

North Ford Bog:

Northwest area. Head up the road toward an open area that sits west of the San Bakar’s Tower.

North Hogwarts Region:

Use the Jackdaw’s Tomb Floo Flame and travel southwest.

Keenbridge:

The den is located east of Keenbridge in Hogwarts Valley on top of a cliff that you can reach on foot or via broom.

Feldcroft Region:

Nifflers (and soon-to-be Niffler Fur) are found southeast in this Hogwarts Legacy location.

Beyond those regions, you can also look for dens in these locations:

• Poidsear Coast: Use the Floo Flames to reach the Phoenix Mountain Cave to find the den.
• Manor Cape: With the west Floo Flame, reach Manor Cape and head south down the road.
• Cragcroft: Travel via Floo Flame to Cragcroft and venture southeast to locate the den.

Now that you know where to find the dens, you can use your Nab-Sack to befriend Nifflers and send them to the Vivarium. You can soon feed and pet them and they will offer you Niffler Fur. This resource is worthwhile when it comes to upgrading equipment and making Traits.
