Want to know how to use the Pickpocket perk in Dark and Darker? While the Dark and Darker game is still in open beta testing, players continue to experience all the intricacies of the gameplay. Without a doubt, the game is far from AAA content, but on the other hand, the IRONMACE studio has just begun its journey in the world of game developers. However, the developers worked out the character classes very well, making it possible to create various builds, among which the Rogue does not always throw daggers. You can also choose the more passive Pickpocket path. So, Pickpocket is a very controversial perk, but we will tell you how to use it in Dark and Darker.

How to Use Pickpocket Perk in Dark and Darker

As the name of the perk suggests, Pickpocket allows you to steal items from your enemies. To do this in Dark and Darker, you only need to equip the Pickpocket perk before the game, sneak up on the enemy and press the F key. Sounds great, and it is. But this perk has quite a few features that can change your opinion in a negative direction:

  • First, by using the Pickpocket perk, you will pickpocket a random item from the opponent’s inventory. This experience looks realistic as you don’t know what you’re stealing from your opponent’s backpack until you see it. But no one wants to risk their safety for the sake of junk.
  • Based on the previous point, the Pickpocket perk is almost useless in the early game. Opponents have nothing of value, and stealing starting items is pointless.
  • Also, the stealing process takes a few seconds, during which the enemy must be motionless. So you have to hide to the enemy does not move away, preventing you from finishing what you started.
  • Finally, after using the Pickpocket perk, you lose the Stealth effect. The enemy will be able to notice you and punish you for what you have done.

Well, after such a description, the Pickpocket perk does not look very attractive. But we want to note that every coin has two sides. Using this perk, you can steal some relatively valuable items without giving anything in return. In addition, the stealth skill is the basis for Rogue, so it’s not easy to notice you. Also, you can play in a team, and the allies can protect you in case of failure. And if you decide to play using the Pickpocket perk, we advise you to steal only when the enemy is alone and doing static things. The best opportunity to stealthily rob a player while inspecting chests or activating portals. Otherwise, it all depends on your luck and the skill of your gaming skills.

Dark and Darker is available in beta testing on PC.
