Want to know how to drop items in Sons of the Forest? Sons of the Forest is the latest title in the horror survival video game series.

You will deal with cannibals and mutated creatures, all while searching for a missing billionaire. Finding and crafting items is one of the main mechanics in every survival game and is no different with Sons of the Forest. You will need space in your inventory for all the new items you will find and craft. This guide will show you how to drop items in Sons of the Forest.

Sons of the Forest: How to Drop Items?

To drop items in Sons of the Forest, players will need to press G on their keyboards or other assigned button, though G is by default. If they are on a console, you will need to press B/circle.

However, it is not that simple. There is a catch to it. If your player carries something in their hands and you press the corresponding button, the item will return to your inventory.

Now, you can remove the thing from your inventory by selecting it and pressing the button. Furthermore, larger items, such as Logs and others, can’t be stored in your inventory since your backpack is not big enough for this. Well, to drop these items in Sons of the Forest, press G or the assigned controller key.

The game’s extreme situations will have you gathering every material you can find, from ropes to stones and logs. You don’t want to throw anything away. Instead, make sure you use everything you have and craft it into something better, like a shelter.

Moreover, you can build storage units and racks. These can then be used to store items that you don’t want anymore in your inventory, but you feel they might come in handy later in the game. This is all you need to know about how to drop items in Sons of the Forest.
