Say what you want about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, but, despite their technical flaws, they brought one of the best features in the series. TMs have had many changes throughout the story of the games. We’ve seen them go from a one-time-use item to a reusable one and back to one-time use. Now, the ninth generation brought something great in the form of TM crafting. This feature allows you to craft almost all abilities in the game for you to teach them to your Pokémon. This has become something fantastic as it encourages exploring. Today we want to focus on how to get TM 085 Rest in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. It would help if you got this ability for your creatures going into long battles.

How to get TM 085 Rest in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Before we delve into the crafting part of this TM, it is nice to know that this ability is also out there in the world. While crafting is a lot easier, it is also good to find TMs in parts of the map that will let you get the ability a lot sooner. Here’s how to get TM 085 Rest in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:

  • Once you are allowed to explore the map, head to Los Platos
  • Look for the pond on your map
  • Go to the pond and look for a bench
  • You’ll find TM 085 behind a bench

This is the easiest way to find it, but we know you’ll want more of this TM, well, here’s how to craft it:

  • 400 LP
  • Drowzee Fur x3

Contrary to other TMs, this one is quite easy to craft. You can find various Drowzee around the map, and all of them drop the materials. The best place to farm Drowzee Fur is in South Province (Area Two). This is a low-level area that’ll let you farm without interruptions. You can either do quick battles or a normal one for more experience. If you have TM 085 Rest in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet remember that it is a great ability that heals your Pokémon and removes negative status but makes them fall asleep. Only use it as a last resort or if you’re in a raid with NPCs. So, now that you know how to get it, go ahead and explore these areas of Paldea to find what you need to make it.
