If you’re a gearhead, or you simply admire excellent cars, you’ll know all about the Nissan GTR. Released in 2007, the GTR blew everyone away with its power, sleek design and dashboard full of electronic aides. Even the sharp-tongued Jeremy Clarkson loved it;

And now, nine years and twenty-four awards later, Nissan has decided to give it an upgrade. So what’s new to this version of the GTR? Well according to GQ magazine;

“In terms of power, there’s been a very mild improvement (not that we had any complaints before). The V6 now pushes out 562bhp at 6,800 rpm, and 469lb ft of torque, up 20bhp and 3lb ft. We don’t imagine they’re quite enough to improve the current car’s 2.8-second 0-62mph sprint time, though.”

They also point out that the inside has been given a redesign as well;

“Inside, where the outgoing GT-R always looked a little too… Nissany, has had a welcome upgrade as well. It’s no Rolls-Royce Dawn, but there’s a new dashboard, redesigned instrument cluster, and it’s all trimmed in plush leather. The annoying cluster of 27 buttons in the centre console has been stripped back to eleven (you get to the functions via the new infotainment system’s eight-inch touchscreen).”

So far, there is no confirmation on price, but as the original model clocked in at £78,000 it’s likely to be more than this.
