One of the couple’s fans will meet on TLC’s Seeking Brother Husband is Atlanta-based Chara and Patrick. Many people didn’t have the faintest idea of living in a plural marriage until TLC came with their popular series Sister Wives. The show explored the lives of Kody Brown and his four wives as they navigated through the complexities of a polygamous family setting.
Now that the show’s latest season is over, TLC decided to tow a slightly different direction with Seeking Brother Husband. The new series will also explore plural marriages, albeit this time, the network has chosen to take it from the angle of the women. The all-new original show, which premiered on March 26, focuses on four couples at different stages of their polyandrous lifestyle. Seeking Brother Husband will also feature a couple just trying to test the waters of polyandry.
The women in Seeking Brother Husband are eager to tackle the stereotypes about plural marriages and prove that women can also have multiple partners in a marriage. However, here is all fans need to know about one of the couples, Chara, Patrick, and their “brother husband,” Noble Ward.
Seeking Brother Husband’s Chara, Patrick, and Noble’s Relationship
Atlanta-based couple Chara and Patrick have been married for 13 years but have a complex love story. Although they drifted apart for some time, their strong emotional bond brought them back together and has kept them going. Chara and Patrick reportedly met at a family friend’s dinner party in December 2010 and instantly connected. Soon after, the two tied the knot, but it wasn’t to be forever, as they divorced after over a decade.
Despite their divorce, they chose to continue living together, but there was no physical attraction anymore. Months later, the two decided to explore bringing another man in to fulfill Chara’s physical needs. That was when Noble Ward came into the picture.
Chara And Patrick’s Polyandrous Marriage
While all seems to be well with Chara, Patrick, and Noble on the surface, there is some unrest building within this polyandrous family setting. Chara’s desire to add a third husband to the relationship isn’t helping matters either. Although Noble prefers to live a bachelor’s lifestyle, he finds it challenging to accept Chara’s decision.
On the other hand, Patrick may have supported Chara in bringing in brother-husband Noble but now looks doubtful about the whole relationship dynamics. He feels Noble has replaced him and that he and Chara have grown apart since the brother-husband came into the picture.
Then there is also the big issue of Chara wanting to have a baby. Although she is sure about becoming a mother, the problem is choosing which of her husbands would be the biological father. All these conditions have added more complexities to the trios’ relationship.
The trailer for the show hinted at things really tipping over the edge between the trio as they try to navigate their polyandrous family setting. It would be fascinating to see how the “throuple” work through all their issues as the season progresses.
