Resident Evil 4’s Remake was released this week on all major platforms. The title received a free demo earlier this week. Fans have been dying to try out Resident Evil 4 and re-experience its iconic moments retold in a new 4K experience. But you might face some game-breaking Resident Evil 4 bugs.
New Resident Evil 4 Remake Bug
It was today that Capcom took to Twitter to inform players of a new Resident Evil 4 Remake bug that forbids players from progressing in the game. The publisher stated that players on all platforms will experience a similar issue.
But what is it? Players will be unable to progress after performing certain actions in a specific area. Let us elaborate. When gamers make it to Chapter 12, a cutscene will play out after which players will obtain a key item.
Players have been warned not to perform any knife attacks before they obtain a notification for the said item at the top right corner of the screen. After players obtain the item, it’ll show up in the Key Items and Treasures section.
If it doesn’t, gamers are advised to reload their saved data to the beginning of Chapter 12. Capcom continued to apologize for the game-breaking Resident Evil 4 Remake bug.
“We intend to fix this issue in a future update and apologize for any inconvenience. After the update has been applied, players will be able to continue the game even with the saved data where the error previously occurred.”
Capcom has been pretty vague about the key item and bug, probably not to cause any major spoilers considering the aforementioned item is a key item.
