Diablo 4‘s Open Beta concluded on March 26. The queue times were crazy considering so many players tried to partake in the open beta in the short window. And you’d be dumbfounded to find out the number of monsters that were slain in Diablo 4’s short Open Beta. It was in the billions. Nearly 30 billion monsters were slain in Diablo 4 in just 2 days, but Ashava dominated with 10 million player deaths.
Almost 30 Billion Monsters Slain in Diablo 4 Open Beta
It was revealed on Twitter that in the short Diablo 4 open beta time frame, players raked up a total of 62 million hours of playtime over the weekend ever since Blizzard opened up the floodgates. What could make you spit your cereal is the number of monsters that were slain. Take a guess. Millions, billions? No, it was almost 30 billion monsters.
Let’s take a look at a few other metrics. Players have died nearly 47 million times in the Open Beta. The average k/d ratio equates to nearly 623. That amounts to nearly 500 monsters slain in an hour.
The Butcher stands as the most fearsome Diablo 4 enemies so far. 1.7 million players died at the hands of the Butcher and the formidable foe was killed only half a million times. As for the world boss, Ashava? It proved to be even more formidable. Nearly 10 million players died at the hands of Ashava and the world boss was killed only 100,000 times.
It just goes to show that the Open Beta was more than just hype. Diablo 4 is addictive through and through and we can’t wait to see what more is in store for us when the game officially launches. Diablo 4 will release on June 6, 2023, across all major platforms.
