Diablo 4′s got some spot-on gameplay for the most part. Where things get a bit tricky are the server-side issues. Since players have been flocking to the Open Beta when it kicked off on March 24, server queue times have been at an all-time high. If you’ve still managed to get into Blizzard’s newest RPG, Diablo 4’s got some lag spike problems.
Diablo 4’s Lag Spikes Are A Real Problem
If there’s anywhere to complain, fans are heading to Reddit to talk about the lag spike problem in Diablo 4’s Open Beta. It doesn’t matter if you’re rocking the newest hardware or running the best Gigabit ethernet connection on the market; you’re still bound to run into problems.
One fan running a build with a 3060 Ti claimed they’re still getting lag spikes. And for those looking for a fix, sorry to break it to you. There’s no available fix for the time being.
For the time being, Diablo 4 is unoptimized, and if you’re planning to run the title at full settings. We’ll have to burst your bubble. Turn your settings down to medium or low to possibly get a playable gameplay experience.
But have you downloaded all the game files? Check out if you’re missing any by verifying game file integrity via the Battle.net launcher. While some fans think lowering settings help, others feel like downloading the remaining files is. But to be fair, Diablo’s lag spike issue hasn’t received a definitive fix currently.
Hopefully, Blizzard will roll out another Diablo 4 hotfix for this new lag spike issue. And maybe, just maybe, we’ll get a solid experience at launch.
So, what are your thoughts on this new lag spike issue? Do you think we’ll still get some problems with Diablo 4 when the game officially launches? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. Till then, stay tuned for more updates on the NerdStash.
