Tekken 7 got a new character mid-way into its life cycle known as Leroy Smith. He even made his way into The Tekken Bloodline Animated Series. But surprise, surprise! Leroy Smith is now in Tekken 8, revealed in today’s latest Gameplay Trailer. Check out the trailer down below.
Tekken 8 Leroy Smith Gameplay Trailer
Leroy Smith was revealed today on the Official Bandai Namco Channel for Tekken 8. And he looks cool as ever with a bulldog dressed up in a cute little red onesie. Leroy’s certainly sharpened up on his martial arts as he can launch a flurry of one two’ in succession, as we’d seen after the wall splat.
While Nina has her guns, Mashall Law has his Nun-chucks, Kazuya with his devil form, and Leroy’s now bringing his cane into the action. He’s got some interesting Heat Smashes in his arsenal, but his Rage Art is pretty ironic.
Leroy Smith uses the One-Inch Punch popularized by Bruce Lee against Bruce Lee-inspired Marshall Law. That’s a mouthful.
Previously today, we’d been met with a new gameplay trailer for Asuka, who was fighting off against Leroy Smith. But an hour later, Leroy Smith got his own Gameplay trailer for Tekken 8.
Before, we were introduced to the likes of Jun Kazama, Jin, Kazuya, Nina, Marshall Law, Lars Alexanderson, Paul Phoenix, Jack-8, and many others. But seeing Leroy Smith after his first debut in Tekken 7 was a welcome surprise.
EVO Japan 2023 has finally kicked off as of March 31. We expected the character reveals to end before the event. But it seems Tekken 8‘s got more lined up than we’d initially expected.
