Want to know how to get the Key of Knowledge in Honkai Star Rail? Despite the fascinating storyline and many unique characters, collecting rare Ascension materials for your characters is equally essential to progressing through the story. And if you use Erudition path characters like Herta, Himeko, Serval, Jing Yuan, and Qingque in your team, you can’t do without the Key of Knowledge. You can find this material during one of the Crimson Calyx challenges or create it using the Synthesizer, but if you want to learn more about how to get the Key of Knowledge in Honkai Star Rail, our guide can be helpful.

Where To Find Key of Knowledge in Honkai Star Rail

First, it is worth briefly talking about Crimson Calyx. Crimson Calyx is a 7-stage challenge you can unlock by completing Trial of the Equilibrium, Part One. Each challenge is a small Bud growing on the Jarilo-VI planet and the Herta Space Station. During these challenges, you will meet unique enemies and get Ascension materials for your characters, but if you want to get the Key of Knowledge, you are only interested in Bud of Erudition.

To find the Bud of Erudition in Honkai Star Rail, go to Rivet Town on the Jarilo-VI planet. Walk along the wide main street, and you will notice Crimson Calyx near the center of the location. The cost to enter this challenge is 10 Trailblaze Power, which is pretty cheap at this point in the story. In addition, you can participate in Bud of Erudition an unlimited number of times until you have enough in-game currency.

Once in the Bud of Erudition battle arena, you will encounter Frostspawn, Everwinter Shadewalker, and Imaginary Weaver enemies. If you are confident in your victory, we advise you to increase the difficulty level to the maximum to receive the maximum rewards at the end of the battle. If you’re new to the game, here’s a good hero team for this fight:

  • Natasha
  • Himeko
  • Asta
  • Hook

Once you complete the Bud of Erudition in Honkai Star Rail, you will get many rewards, including a Key of Inspiration or Key of Knowledge. Key of Knowledge is a rarer drop, so be prepared for many hours of farming. On the other hand, you can also get the Key of Knowledge using the Synthesizer. You only need to convert three Keys of Inspiration into one Key of Knowledge. It probably won’t take you too long, as Key of Inspiration is a frequent drop during the Bud of Erudition challenge. And if you have accumulated a lot of Key of Knowledge, convert them to the Key of Wisdom.

Honkai: Star Rail is available on PC, PlayStation 4|5, Android, and iOS.
