Are you considering fighting the final boss in Tears of the Kingdom right after the tutorial? Well, let us tell you, it won’t be a walk in the park. In fact, it will be more like a hike up a steep mountain, followed by a marathon and then a wrestling match with a bear. But hey, if you’re up for the challenge, we’re here to give you some tips.

Yes, you can. Is it easy? Absolutely not. But if you’re up for a challenge and have the skills to make it happen, go for it. Just remember, it’s not the destination but the journey. And in this case, the journey will be one heck of a ride.

First, forget everything you know about Breath of the Wild’s final boss. Tears of the Kingdom‘s final boss fight is a whole different ballgame. You can’t just waltz up to the final boss area like you could in Breath of the Wild. No, you need to earn it. You need to fight through waves of tough monsters and bosses before even getting a chance to face Ganon.

But if you’re dead set on skipping all that and going straight to the final boss, here’s what you need to do. First, head to Hyrule Castle and look for the massive hole below the floating castle. You’ll need a paraglider to land safely, so make sure you have one handy. From there, start descending as much as possible, always looking for a way forward.

Now, here’s the catch. The path to the Tears of the Kingdom‘s final boss is crawling with enemies, and they won’t let you just walk on by. Our advice? Always have a hammer and bow with bomb arrows on hand. Blast or break through any rocks blocking your path and ignore all the enemies. Yes, you read that right. Ignore them. Just keep moving forward and don’t stop until you reach the final boss area.

Tears of the Kingdom is available for Nintendo Switch.
