Exploring the vast expanses of the Hyrule world, Link will visit both deserts and snowy expanses. While Link is far from being a weakling and even has a new hand, he is still not 100% resistant to the weather. Therefore, it is worth taking care of warm clothes when going to cold biomes, and Archaic Warm Greaves are the first thing you want to have in your inventory. Where To Find the Archaic Warm Greaves in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
To get the Archaic Warm Greaves in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, you must travel to the eastern part of Hyrule and find a chest in the roots of a giant stump. Go northeast from Gutanbac Shrine and Bottomless Cave, and you will soon spot the right spot. Also, the image above shows the exact location of this stump.
When you get to the right place, you will find that the stump located is relatively high. In this case, you have two options for how to climb up:
- First, you can use the Ascend ability if you have unlocked it. In this case, go under the roots and use this skill to teleport up.
- On the other hand, if you have already completed the Ukouh Shrine and unlocked Ultrahand, you can create a bridge. More specifically, you can collect several logs and stick them together. After that, place this tall pillar, leaning it against the nearest roots to create a slope leading to the stump.
Whatever method you use, once you get to the top, enter the giant entrance at the stump base. Inside, you’ll see a chest opening, through which you will receive the cherished Archaic Warm Greaves.

As we said earlier, Archaic Warm Greaves are the items that you will periodically use throughout the game. Although Warm Greaves have low defense values, they will reward you with Cold Resistance. Thanks to this, you can explore cold regions without any debuff and take less damage from Cold attacks. However, if you find better pants, you can always make a few meals to get the Cold Resistance effect.
