Sunshrooms in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom are an essential material. To get them, Link needs to do a bit of exploration. Sunshrooms are critical for making cold resistance recipes as they boost this important stat. However, they are not that easy to come by, and a player needs to visit certain areas to find them. While we have seen plenty of new ingredients and items in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, some have returned from Zelda Breath of the Wild, including Sunshrooms. This guide will show you how to get Sunshrooms in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

To get Sunshrooms in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you will need to venture to Eldin Canyon and Gerudo Highlands. These are pretty warm areas, and it is where you will be able to get vital ingredients for cold resistance food and elixirs. Sunshrooms are just one of these essential items. Look for a bright-red mushroom growing near trees in these warm areas. Sunshrooms in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom can be used to cook various recipes that increase the total number of Link’s heart containers but also provide a lasting cold resistance effect. Some of the recipes in which sunshrooms are used include:

  • Spicy Mushroom Rice Balls (cold resistance)
  • Spicy Meat Stew (cold resistance)
  • Mushroom Risotto (heart containers)
  • Mushroom Omelet (heart containers)

These are just a few recipes that Link can make with Sunshrooms that can benefit him.

While Link is a hero of Hyrule, it is on you to make him all too powerful for his many enemies that want to have the power of Triforce. Luckily, there is a ton of different materials, ingredients, and items that can make Link invincible. Unfortunately, this demands time and a lot of patience.

Nevertheless, once you get Sunshrooms in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you will make Link resistant to cold. While this is not a long-term solution, it will give you plenty of time to focus on searching for other items that boost Link’s cold resistance, including armor sets, such as Snowquill Armor and Warm Greaves, among others.
