How To Get Sticky Frogs
While they are difficult to find, Sticky Frogs are easy to collect. Compared to most lizard creatures, they don’t run as soon as you approach them. Since they are typically found on cave walls and along the mountainside, they are easy to spot. With their bright blue bodies accompanied by orange legs and piercing yellow eyes, they stick out among their surroundings.
What Are Sticky Frogs in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom?
According to the Compendium, “This frog likes to cling to walls and hang out. It oozes a substance that climbers can use to cling to wet surfaces.” You can find them in primarily rocky areas if you plan to use them. We’ve discovered Sticky Frogs in West Necluda, Lanayru Great Spring, and around Goron City.
Once you’ve found them, the primary use for Sticky Frogs in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is their cooking properties. When you cook one of them with another monster part, the result will be an elixir that gives you Slip Resistance for a certain amount of time. This can be particularly helpful if you plan on visiting areas where water or ice is abundant.
It may be smart to have some Sticky Frogs on hand when you are preparing to go to Rito Village. Since most of the area is covered in snow and ice due to the blizzards, it can be hard to climb anywhere without slipping and falling. Even in warmer locations, these elixirs can be helpful when it rains. The rain can make most surfaces slick and cause you to fall, sometimes even to your death.
