Hop on this guide to find out how to complete Teach Me a Lesson 1 in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Through his many reincarnations, Link has been called many things: a legendary swordsman, a savior, and a hero, but now, it’s time he takes his chances with the teaching professor. In Teach Me A Lesson, Link will help Professor Symin in Hateno Village‘s school. This first lesson aims to bring students up to speed with the events of the Calamity that took place in Breath of the Wild. But for them, this is old news and, quite frankly, boring. So, to make this class more interesting, Symin asks you to bring a picture of the Calamity.
How to Start Teach Me A Lesson 1 in Tears of the Kingdom
To get this quest, you must head to Hateno Village in East Necluda, near the Rabella Wetlands Skyview Tower. In the village, head to the Hateno School west of Zelkoa Pond and speak with the teacher, Symin. He’ll ask for some help with his lesson. After that, it’s up to you to find a way to depict the Calamity for these kids accurately.
Teach Me a Lesson 1 Quest Walkthrough
Don’t worry. You won’t be traveling back in time to beat Calamity Ganon again. You will, however, find a picture that depicts the events that took place back then. Luckily, Chief Paya has a painting you can use as teaching material.
To complete Teach Me a Lesson 1 in Tears of the Kingdom, go to Kakariko Village. If this is your first time visiting this charming area, you’ll find it in the Necluda Region, near the Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower. Though this village has its questline, you don’t need to clear anything but a cutscene of Paya and Tauro out of the way to complete Symin’s request.
Find Paya’s Hall in Kakariko Village and make your way inside. Though there are loads of murals and relics in this building, the one you’re looking for is on the second floor. Whip out your camera and photograph the picture that depicts the Calamity. A tiny red quest icon will pop up, meaning that the picture you’re taking is part of the Teach Me A Lesson in Tears of the Kingdom quest.
With this picture in your album, head back to Hateno School. You’ll find Symin and the kids having a class from 9:00 A.M. to 2 P.M. This is the only time Symin will accept the picture and let you complete this quest.
