Tears of the Kingdom brings many things that innovate upon the already fantastic gameplay from Breath of the Wild. One of the best things in this entry is the flexibility we have in terms of traveling. While we can get our trusty steed and shield surf, there are more ways to traverse the huge map of Hyrule. To the surprise of many, one of the best ways to travel or reach great heights is by using an ingredient. Yes, you won’t need any Zonai devices; you only need a Pine Cone. Today we’ll tell you how to get Hylian Pine Cones in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

If you’re following the main story, Rito Village is one of the first places you’ll visit. This place should be familiar to those who played the first title, but getting it to it might take a while. You’ll reach a point where you’ll have to cross a broken bridge, and someone will tell you more about Hylian Pine Cones in Tears of the Kingdom; this is your first encounter with the material.

To get them, you must travel to the Hebra Mountains north of Rito Village and head toward places with many trees. We’ve provided a screenshot of the best place to farm this item. We’ve noticed a lot of Hylian Pine Cones on the edges of this area, which is great for farming. Just be careful because you’ll need warm clothes and good weapons because there’s a Lynel around this area.

Hylian Pine Cones in Tears of the Kingdom provide one of the best ways to create a whirlwind to launch you into the air. You only need to create a small fire and drop a Hylian Pine Cone inside it. Once you do that, you’ll notice a huge whirlwind around it, launching you upwards and letting you reach higher places. This is great if you don’t have Spring or Rocket Zonai Devices.

And that’s how you can get Hylian Pine Cones in Tears of the Kingdom. If you come to encounter any during your journey, make sure to grab them. While they aren’t great when fusing them with weapons, they provide some fun traversal options for you. So, don’t neglect these Pine Cones and start experimenting with them if you want to reach higher places in a faster and more fun way.
