To accept the For Our Princess side quest, you must start the more global Potential Princess Sightings quest line. Having visited the stables in central and southern Hyrule, it’s time to head west and visit the Eldin region. Get to the west coast of Cephla Lake, and the best way to do this is to fast-travel to the Kisinona Shrine. Next, glide south and land near the large tent. You will notice your familiar NPC Penn to the tent left and accept the For Our Princess quest.
Talking to Penn, you will learn that the researchers are sure that Princess Zelda ordered them to explore the cave without equipment and in their underpants. Despite the fallacy of their assumption, they insist on their own. So Penn asks you to help researchers before any of them get hurt. To complete ‘For Our Princess’ side quest in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you must go to the cave north of the camp and kill all the monsters. Here’s how to do it.
- Accepting the quest from Penn, a marker will appear on your map, so you need to follow it.
- Near the entrance, you will notice two NPCs in underpants who can’t bring themselves to enter the cave. Talk to them, and they will gladly give you the explorer role of this cave.
- In addition, these NPCs ask you to leave all equipment, weapons, and items before you enter. So, collect new weapons right in the cave.
- Try to sneak around without being seen by enemies. There is one Moblin and several Mokoblins that you have to kill. These enemies are weak but can kill you while you have no equipment.

- So, by entering the cave and approaching the crates near the monsters, you can collect a stick, rusty sword, and spear as your starting weapon. Next, when killing enemies, try to instantly use the Fuse ability to fuse your weapon with monster parts.
- First, go around the monsters and kill the enemy in the far part of the cave room to reduce the number of enemies. Run in circles and deal damage until you defeat everyone. Also, fuse your weapon with a boulder to kill an armored enemy.
- Defeating all the monsters, return to the cave entrance and talk to the researchers again. They will thank you for your help, give you your things and offer to meet near the tent.
