After completing The Broken Slate in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it’s time to work on Clues to the Sky with King Dorephan. This is one of the main quests that branch off Sidon of the Zora, the main quest that fits into Regional Phenomena. After completing Clues to the Sky, you can finally begin to work on finishing up Sidon of Zora and make your way to the next temple. Keep reading to learn how to find “Land of the Sky Fish” to complete Clues to the Sky in Tears of the Kingdom.
Beginning Clues to the Sky in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom
To begin the quest, you must head back to Zora’s Domain. Next, head up the stairs to the second floor, then up the stairs in the middle of the area to make your way up to the throne room.
Once you’re there, don’t head inside just yet. Walk around the outside of the throne room and go inside by climbing over the back of the throne. It’s important that you don’t allow the three children in the room to see you. Otherwise, it may take longer to complete Clues to the Sky.
As you approach the children, crouch down near the foot of the throne and hit the A button when you are prompted to listen. The three children will be talking among themselves, pretending to be King Dorephan and actually giving away his secret location in the process.
After the conversation is over, head back down to the second level of Zora’s Domain and lease through the East exit bridge. Head back to the waterfalls that you rode up in order to make it to Sidon the first time around. Only this time, you’re only going to swim up 3 of the waterfalls.
Once you reach the top of the third waterfall at Lulu Lake, look to the left of the waterfall behind some large rocks. There, you can find another waterfall. This waterfall is much smaller and leads into a small hole that is very important in Clues to the Sky. Jump into the hole and glide down on your paraglider using the X button.
At the bottom of the waterfall, you will discover the Pristine Sanctuary, King Dorephan’s current residence. Make your way up to Dorephan and speak to him about your discoveries from The Broken Slate quest. Upon speaking to him, you will receive 5 King’s Scales, which are important and necessary to complete the quest. Now, take the King’s Scales and head out to find the Land of the Sky Fish and the Floating Rock in the Shape of a Droplet.
Finding the Land of the Sky Fish
Head back up the waterfalls to make your way back to Sidon’s location to progress farther in Clues to the Sky. If you look around from where he is, you should see a floating island that seems to be pouring sludge into the land below.
Head toward the eastern portion of the area and look around for a hot air balloon, along with some metal plates. Here, you will need to use your Ultrahand ability in order to connect two Zonai Batteries and the balloon to a metal plate. Once you’ve finished that, look in your inventory for a flame-emitting Zonai Device and attach it to the balloon.
Now, hop on the metal plate and light up the flame emitter. Ride the balloon up high enough that you can hop off and glide down to the floating island.
At the highest point of the island, there is a semi-circle that looks out over the edge of the island. Move around, facing toward the Southwest, until you notice the floating rock pieces surrounding the island form a perfect droplet.
Once the droplet looks flawless from your point of view, pull out your bow and attach one of the King’s Scales to your arrow. Fire your arrow through the center of the rock droplet. This will cause a cutscene to play and complete the Clues to the Sky quest.
