Season 21 of Destiny 2 has finally gone live, and with it comes a new slew of Seasonal weapons for Guardians to loot and enjoy. This time around, we’ve received Taken-themed guns, including a brand new Stasis Sniper Rifle called A Distant Pull. Introducing a Legendary Taken Sniper Rifle is a bold move for Bungie, considering the player base’s feelings regarding the first Taken Sniper, Whisper of the Worm. That said, it’s a new gun, so we must loot it. So today, it’s time to discuss how to get the A Distant Pull Sniper Rifle and what the God Roll for it is in Destiny 2.
How To Obtain The A Distant Pull Sniper Rifle In Destiny 2
For the short and sweet answer, you’ll need to loot the final chest at the end of the Salvage and Deep Dive activities to obtain the A Distant Pull Sniper Rifle. The chest will guarantee a new Season of the Deep weapon or armor piece, so it may take multiple runs before finally obtaining a copy of the Sniper. That said, you can also decrypt Deep Engrams at the Sonar Station in the Helm to give yourself another chance at it.
After earning the Sniper at least once, you can then focus for the gun, specifically at the Sonar Station, by spending four Deep Engrams for it. It’s a steep price, but it’s well worth the trouble than running the Seasonal activities multiple times in search of a better roll.
Speaking of which.
A Distant Pull Sniper Rifle God Roll
Unfortunately, for PvP players, the A Distant Pull doesn’t have access to an excellent perk pool for PvP activities. On the other hand, this weapon has the potential to become a staple for endgame PvE activities like Raids or Nightfalls. With that said, the God Roll you should be looking for is Triple Tap and Focused Fury.
Triple Tap will refund a shot for every three precision hits on an enemy. On the other hand, Focused Fury grants a 20% damage increase when landing half of the magazine as precision hits. This combo goes hand in hand with one another in the best way possible, as it all comes down to the user hitting their shots.
Unfortunately for Sniper Rifles, they aren’t in a great spot in the current PvE sandbox, as most weapon types out-damage them. That said, grinding this weapon with the roll mentioned above would be a great idea ahead of time in case Snipers get buffed soon.
