After a lot of love and attention, Cyberpunk 2077 has almost reached the developer’s vision, and fans are dying to get their hands on the game’s upcoming DLC, Phantom Liberty. And it seems we might get more news on that soon as CD Projekt Red planning to attend this year’s Summer Game Fest. Having been confirmed as a guest at the event, CDPR is set to unveil the highly anticipated Phantom Liberty DLC in all its glory. While the game’s initial launch was marred by countless issues, the DLC will hopefully not repeat the same mistakes.

Since the first reveal trailer, we haven’t gotten any news on the Phantom Liberty DLC. A tweet from the official CDPR Twitter account confirms that the DLC will be featured in the Play Days segment. This could possibly mean that some select people might get their hands on the game. The general public getting access to Phantom Liberty at the event is quite unlikely.

Summer Game Fest 2023 is scheduled to commence on June 8, serving as a platform for various studios and publishers to showcase their upcoming games. Alongside CD Projekt Red, the event will feature other big names like Capcom, Square Enix, and Devolver Digital, among many others. Taking place at the YouTube Theater, a 6,000-seat venue in Los Angeles, the event will offer both in-person and online participation.

Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty — Official Teaser

As for the DLC itself, Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty will introduce a fresh storyline and a new cast of characters, including one portrayed by Idris Elba. Although an official release date for the upcoming content has not been announced, that might change soon. Not only that, CDPR has a lot planned for both the Cyberpunk and the Witcher franchises, so there’s a small chance we might see a glimpse of some future projects.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. But the Phantom Liberty DLC will only come out on current-generation consoles and PC only.
