FFXIV brought many things with its 6.4 version. While many were hoping for the new MSQ, dungeon, and trial, others were hoping for a more grounded experience. If you’re a fan of the Island Sanctuary feature and were hoping to get back to it, you can do it now. This update brings many new things to gather, craft, and find, and today we’ll be talking about one of the newest materials. If you want to know about the recent Island Spectrine in FFXIV and its location, we’ll cover it in this guide!

If you want to find Island Spectrine in FFXIV, you’ll need to work a lot, especially if you abandoned your Island for a while. This new material is obtainable once you get to Rank 13 in your Island Sanctuary. While it might not sound like a lot, there are many things you need to do to reach one of the new ranks the update brought. Once you reach rank 13 of your Island Sanctuary in FFXIV, the Island Spectrine location is inside the new Mountain Hollow area. To unlock the Mammet-sized Spelunking Tools for it, you’ll need the following:

  • 10x Island Palm Log
  • 10x Island Iron Ore
  • 10x Island Quartz
  • 10x Island Resin

How To Use Island Spectrine in FFXIV

If you already have Island Spectrine in FFXIV, you should know how to use it. Like any other material in the Sanctuary, you can use it to upgrade buildings and create items for your exports; we’ll talk about the latter. Island Spectrine is useful for creating Isleworks Cooling Glass, an 8-hour item from the Unburied Treasures category. This one goes for many cowries; you should prioritize it as soon as you unlock the new material.

And that’s all we have on Island Spectrine in FFXIV and its location. If you haven’t unlocked the new area, you should work on your exports. A whole week should give you a huge chunk of experience for the next rank; otherwise, you’ll need to grind a lot inside your Island Sanctuary by gathering. Yet, we recommend you do this content at your own pace while you try everything this update brought. There’s the conclusion to the Pandaemonium raids and new gear to craft if you want to make some gil. No matter what you choose, FFXIV 6.4 is a huge update with many activities for all players.
