On June 1, 2023, a BET Media Group spokesperson took to Wild ‘N Out and VH1’s Instagram pages with a joint statement, confirming the sad news. The joint post featured a stunning picture of Jacky Oh! alongside an emotional caption.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Jacklyn Smith, known to the world as Jackie Oh, a talented Wild ‘N Out family member, whose impact will be forever treasured and missed,” the statement began.
Next, the write-up described Jacky Oh! as a loving friend and beloved colleague of the Wild ‘N Out cast throughout five seasons. However, her most outstanding quality was being a tremendous mother to three beautiful children. In the concluding part of the statement, the BET Media Group extended their condolences to the deceased’s family, husband, B Simone, Nick Cannon, and all who loved and cared for the model.
Meanwhile, the cause of the entertainer’s death is yet to be confirmed. However, Jacky Oh! revealed she was in Miami for “mommy makeover” surgery in a subsequently-deleted post on social media. The star’s partner, DC Young Fly was said to be in Atlanta shooting new Wild ‘N Out episodes when he heard Jacky Oh was dead. The YouTuber is still in shock and has yet to comment on his partner’s tragic passing.
