Throughout Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll learn more about the Heroines’ Secret once you reach the Gerudo Shelter. When you arrive in Gerudo, you may notice the first installment of the many quests involving the Gerudo, their current status, and how they’ve started living in shelters below ground. Many Guerdo in the area have quests for you to complete, including The Heroine’s Secret, which involves the group Stelae around camp. To clear the Heroines’ Secret in Tears of the Kingdom, you must find all Stelae locations in the shelter. The Gerudo woman who gives you the quest only knows of two, so here’s how to complete The Heroines’ Secret in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

To get started, first enter the Gerudo Shelter. There you’ll find Rotana near the back left of the room. She’ll be near a pile of luggage, blankets, and other assorted items. If you want to initiate The Heroines’ Secret questline, you’ll need to talk to Rotana first to get that started. When you first speak to her, she’ll talk to you about the Stelae and what each says. According to Rotana, there are supposed to be four of these within the shelter.

Rotana informs you that instead of four, there are only two. To complete the quest for Rotana, you’ll have to take photos of all Stelae locations in the shelter. Don’t worry — you don’t need to find the Stelae in any specific order. You simply need to take pictures of them and present the photos to Rotana. To complete the quest, you’ll need to get her these photos so she can learn about the other heroines.

All Stelae Locations In Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

You’ll need to complete many maneuvering and angular-centric puzzles to get a good view of each Stela. We have instructions for each Stela below:

First Stela

For the first Stela in The Heroines’ Secret in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, perform the following steps:

  1. Go to the room to the left of Rotana and walk past the Goddess Statue.
  2. From there, you should go into the Voe and Vai classroom, the one that has a painting on the wall. The classroom has a rectangular statue on the left of the room.
  3. Walk around so that you face it from the opposite end of the room. One side will be further back in the wall than the other side.
  4. To align the pieces, walk until you have an angle where the text aligns.
  5. From there, take a picture, and your first Stela is done.

If you want to confirm that you’re monument is aligned correctly, watch for a text box that says “Monument to Seven Heroines.” Once that appears, you’re good to go.

Second Stela

Here are the steps to find the second Stela:

  1. Head out from the right and go through the door on the left.
  2. Once you go into the ruined room on that side, you’ll see that most of the Stela is there, but a key piece is missing from the display.
  3. To fix it, equip Ultrahand and look around for the missing piece. You should be able to find it in a nearby pile of sand.
  4. From there, you can grab it from its partially submerged state and place it in the gap of the Stela where it belongs.

You’re now about halfway done with The Heroines’ Secret in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

Third Stela

Finding the third Stela involves multiple steps as well:

  1. Return to the central room with Rotana.
  2. On the other side of the shelter, you should be able to find the jail. However, you may have already noticed that the guard won’t let you in from there.
  3. Instead of trying to get past them, go to the entrance at the left of the jail. This is the storeroom.
  4. Once there, you should see two pots on a shelf. It’s not a shelf but a passageway to get to the jail room just above you.
  5. Break the pots, crouch on the shelf, and use Ascend. Once you’ve Ascended, you’ll be right in the jail cell, where the third Stela is.

Fourth Stela

Once you speak to the guard, you can go back to the central room with Rotana.

  1. For the final Stela, go to the room past the two monuments Rotana showed you.
  2. Once you enter the room, you should see a pile of rubble on your left.
  3. Breaking this rubble with a bomb or rock weapon will reveal the last monument you need to take a picture of.

After you’ve done this, you should have a picture of all Stelae locations for The Heroines’ Secret in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.
