While there are certainly better armor sets out there for defense, some specific sets give Link a bit of a specialist boost. The Zora Armor is a useful set that allows Link to swim far faster. It also gives him a spinning attack that he can use in the water. While the Zora Armor is certainly helpful, finding the Zora Armor location for each piece can be tricky. Below, we’ll summarize how to get the Zora Greaves in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

The Zora Armor is no different than any other armor in that it has three parts. While all three parts can certainly help Link out, to get that base swimming speed bonus, you only need one piece. Each piece of the armor increases not only swim speed but also Link’s base defense. It’s not much –only about three points for each piece–, but as a full set, it gets the basic job done. If you choose to find and equip the entire Zora Amor set, Link will be rewarded with bonus stamina for swimming specifically.

Concerning the Zora Armor location, each piece is a separate feat as part of subquests. In order to find the Zora Armor location for each piece, you need to start the Sidon of the Zora quest. Throughout that quest, you’ll find each piece in succession after the other. Greaves in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom are the last pieces to the armor set that you’ll find. If you have a propensity for upgrading your armor sets via the Great Fairy Fountains, you’re in luck. The pieces each can be upgraded, each part of the set having an end result of 20 defense each. However, it does take a hefty amount of resource gathering to get there, not to mention Rupees. To upgrade the Zora Armor set, you’ll need to collect the following:

  • 9 Hearty Bass
  • 9 Lizalfos Horns
  • 9 Blue Lizalfos Tails
  • 15 Hyrule Bass
  • 15 Lizalfos Talons
  • 15 Black Lizalfos Horns
  • 15 Blue Lozalfos Horns
  • 15 Blue Lozalfos Tails
  • 2,280 Rupees
  • 60 Opals

To find the Zora Greaves in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, you’ll need to first beat the Sidon of the Zora main questline. After completing the quest and watching the ending cutscene for that segment, leave the throne room and find Yona, who should be in the main area of the Zora Kingdom.

Talking to her will trigger the Token of Friendship quest, which will eventually give you the Zora Greaves as a reward. Apparently, they were once used as a peace offering between Hylians and the Zora, but have since gone missing. The only place she can point for you to start searching in is the Ancient Zora Waterworks. To get your hands on the Zora Greaves in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom, we recommend a few steps that we’ve listed below:

1. Find the Ancient Zora Waterworks

If you’re having trouble finding Ancient Zora Waterworks, it may help to refer to the last time you went there. During the Sidon of the Zora main questline, you visited there to obtain other parts of the Zora Armor. Now that the questline for the first two parts of the armor set is over, you can retrieve the third and final piece here. The waterworks are located in the East Reservoir Lake. To get there, take the whirlpool in the middle.

Once you land in the Ancient Zora Waterworks. explore until you find a large pillar. This pillar acts as the touchpoint for where you need to go to find the Zora Greaves in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. Once you discover the pillar, look around it. Eventually, you’ll find a large hole that goes into the ground, one that you can drop down to enter where a Stone Talus is sleeping.

2. Conquer the Stone Talus

Once you drop down the hole into the Stone Talus’ domain, you have a choice. You can either fight the Stone Talus head-on, or navigate enough to avoid him. Choosing the passive option isn’t very hard, but it does require a degree of stealth. If you have some stealthy armor, or perhaps an elixir or two to spare, it may be a great idea to use those to avoid the monster.

To prevent the Talus from waking up, keep close to the walls and don’t sprint. You should be able to navigate toward the waterfall at the other end of the room with relative ease. If you want to fight it, you have plenty of space with which to do so. Just make sure you win, so that you don’t have to navigate back to the room all over again. After you either fight or sneak around the Stone Talus, proceed toward the waterfall.

3. Recieve the Zora Greaves

After you’ve gotten past the Talus, you may notice the lantern behind the waterfall you’re working towards. That’s an indicator that you’ve reached the right place. Go under the waterfall until you see that lantern a bit more clearly and you should find a chest nearby. Opening that chest rewards you with the Zora Greaves.

So, there you have it, a full overview of how to get the Zora Armor set in Tears of the Kingdom. Hopefully, you found this guide useful. For more information on the game, keep it locked to The Nerd Stash.
