If you want a stylish armor set that stands out amongst other cosmetics in the game, the Champion’s Leathers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom are for you. Usually, armor sets are in demand for their immense benefits and combined bonuses. The Champion’s Leathers gives Link the ability to shoot sword beams with the Master Sword without full health. However, most people will go for this armor set because it looks too sweet to pass. Here’s a guide to getting the Champion’s Leathers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom.

In Hateno Village, you will find a well behind Link’s house. Once you jump down, you will reveal Zelda’s secret study room. Spot a diary on her study table. Reading her diary reveals her intention to give Link a new tunic, which is the Champion’s Leathers in Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. The diary provides clues about the location and solution of the puzzle. A quest marker will guide you to the tunic’s whereabouts.

The armor set is in the Hyrule castle. It is best that you launch Link from the Skyview Tower and glide straight to the castle. You might reach the top directly, or you may need to pause along the way to restore stamina and then continue climbing.

Once you reach the Sanctum, securing the tunic is straightforward. Head towards the throne. Just as Zelda’s diary mentioned, light the two torches, and the stone behind the throne will move, revealing a chest. Inside that chest, you will find the Champion’s Leathers, also known as the Champion’s tunic in Breathe of the Wild.

It is important to note that The Hylian Hood and the Hylian Trousers complete the entire look of this outfit. However, they are not part of the armor set. You can purchase both of them at Lookout Landing for 70 rupees and 120 rupees, respectively. They are among the most affordable armor pieces and easily obtainable early in the game. The pieces can be yours in no time if you sell your collected items and accumulate around 200 rupees.

That concludes our guide to getting the Champion’s Leathers in the game.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is playable on Nintendo Switch.
