How to Beat Frost Gleeok in Tears of the Kingdom
Before starting the battle with this “dragon,” you must prepare well. First, you need Armor or Food with cold resistance. And secondly, stock up on a powerful bow and Fire Fruit.
Frost Gleeok lives in cold areas because it doesn’t like fire, so by using Fire Fruit, you can deal a lot of damage to it. However, even with all the preparations, the fight against the Boss will not be easy. Its attacks can deal massive damage. Plus, it has a lot of health. Therefore, you need to avoid all attacks:
- Ice Beam – Each of the heads can shoot an ice beam at you, dealing damage and freezing you for a few seconds.
- Blows of Wind – The Boss can flap its wings violently to blow you away with the wind if you get too close.
- Rain of Ice Spikes – The Boss flies high into the sky, creating a snow cloud from which huge ice spikes fall.
Therefore, to defeat Frost Gleeok, you need to avoid attacks or use them against the Boss. So we recommend you this strategy:
- Hide behind the cover while the Boss fires ice beams.
- Then climb into cover and jump off him to shoot the Boss with a bow in slow motion.
- Aim at each of the heads and deal damage evenly. You must knock down all three heads almost simultaneously.
- After that, Frost Gleeok will fall to the ground taking damage. Come to it to deal even more damage with your melee weapons.
- When the Boss starts to get up, run away so that you are not blown away by the wind.
- Repeat these steps until the Boss starts attacking you with Ice Spikes.
- Jump on one of them and use your Recall ability to get up close to the Boss.
- Shoot its heads again with a bow so that it falls and takes massive damage. It’s also worth noting that you may need to do a few more hits to bring Frost Gleeok’s health down to zero.
