Coming off the success of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, Will Poulter has joined the cast of The Bear for season 2. The news was unconventionally broken by a review from Daily Beast. We are days away from the premiere of the sophomore season so no major spoilers will be mentioned. If you want to go in knowing about the Guardians star’s role, then continue reading.
Will Poulter will not be the only newcomer for the next outing of The Bear. As the staff prepares for their rebranded restaurant, new faces will appear on their journey for a fresh start. Molly Gordon (Theater Camp) and Bob Odenkirk are coming aboard, but no details about who they will play are present. We have seen all kinds of supportive and disruptive personalities in the show’s portrayal of the food industry, so fan imaginations can go wild in thinking about what they will bring to the kitchen.

In the Daily Beast review, the Midsommar star will play a Dutch pastry chef. As Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) and Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) send their pastry chef Marcus (Lionel Boyce) to Copenhagen, he learns under a “kind, understanding, and meticulous” Dutch pastry chef. In the first season, Marcus developed a sweet side to the sandwich-focused restaurant as he came up with recipes for cakes and doughnuts. Now, we will likely see significant growth in his skills as a novice pastry chef.
Will Poulter getting a role in The Bear only boost his already rising career. He had a string of significant projects in the early to mid-2010s with Meet the Millers, Maze Runner, and The Revenant. Toward the latter half of the decade, Detroit and Midsommar added to his career to further emphasize his ability to act in a wide range of roles. Now after his Hulu limited series Dopesick with Michael Keaton and entering the MCU, the actor has reached new heights that open the door for endless opportunities.
The Bear season 2 will release on June 22. It will drop all ten episodes on that day on Hulu.
