Final Fantasy 16 brings back a feature that bounty hunters and completionists are thrilled about: The Hunt Board and Notorious Marks. Though the main storyline is engaging enough to keep players interested for hours, sometimes you want to roleplay as a bounty hunter contracting their way up to badassery. Hunting monsters and completing bounties can be an exciting and rewarding experience. By following these steps, you’ll unlock and gain access to various Hunts in Final Fantasy 16.

To begin your journey as a hunter, complete the “The Gathering Storm” main story quest. This quest is a prerequisite for unlocking hunts and sets the stage for hunting adventures.

After completing that quest, head to the Hideaway and interact with Nektar the Moogle next to Patron’s Whisper. Nektar is the gatekeeper to the Hunt Board in Final Fantasy 16, where you’ll find a list of available Notorious Marks. This cute little guy will provide you access to the Hunt Board. This is where you’ll find a comprehensive list of hunts available for you to undertake.

The Hunt Board is your central hub for tracking down bounties and notorious marks. On it, you’ll see a variety of Notorious Marks that you can undertake. Check the Hunt Board to spot a Notorious Mark you feel like taking down. Once accepted, you’ll receive a rundown of the creature’s appearance and general location.

Initially, you may have limited bounties available at the Hunt Board in Final Fantasy 16. However, as you progress in the main story, more Notorious Marks will become accessible. They rank from C to S, increasing progressively in difficulty as you clear more and more of them.

In addition to the hunts listed on the Hunt Board, watch for side quests with a plus icon. Completing these side quests can unlock additional bounties for you to pursue. Explore the world and interact with NPCs to discover these side quests and expand your hunting options.

Of course, you won’t be doing this all just for fun. Rewards are available for completing each Notorious Mark and some EXP for defeating these vicious foes. After clearing 10 Notorious Marks from the Hunt Board in Final Fantasy 16, players will unlock the Think Mark! Trophy.

Final Fantasy 16 is available on PlayStation 5.
