Do you want to know how to get the Shiny Turtonator during the Pokemon Go Dark Flames event? Pokemon trainers could catch Shiny Sunkern during the June 2023 Spotlight Hour and Shiny Fomantis during the Solstice Horizons event. Turtonator is Fire/Dragon-type Pokemon known as Blast Turtle Pokemon. The Shiny version of this Pokemon is rare. So, let’s look at if you can catch Shiny Turtonator during the Pokemon Go Dark Flames event.

Can Turtonator Be Shiny in the Pokemon Go Dark Flames Event?

You can get Shiny Turtonator during the Pokemon Go Dark Flames event. Turtonator will make its debut on Pokemon Go three-star raids during the event. The Dark Flames event will start on June 29, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. and conclude on July 2, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. local time.

You will encounter darker and Fire-type Pokemon appearing more frequently in the wild. You can catch Pokemon such as Vulpix, Houndour, Poochyena, Galarian Zigzagoon, Carvanha, Numel, Stunky, Litwick, Litwick, Houndoom, and Sableye. Except for Stunky and Litten, if you are lucky enough, you will also encounter shiny versions of these Pokemon. Mega Sableye will debut on mega raids, while you will encounter Heatran in Five Star Raids.

Best Counters for Turtonator in Pokemon Go Dark Flames Event

The best counters for Turtonator during the Pokemon Go Dark Flames event are Kyurem (Black), Palkia, Rayquaza,  Salamence, and Rayquaza. Turtonator is weak against Ground, Rock, and Dragon-type attacks. So, these Pokemon are the best counters you can have against Turtonator.  Following are the best moveset you can use against Turtonator in the Pokemon Go Dark Flames event.

  • Kyurem (Black) with Outrage as the main move and Dragon Tail as the quick move.
  • Palkia with Draco Meteor as the main move and Dragon Tail as the quick move.
  • Rayquaza with Outrage as the main move and Dragon Tail as the quick move.
  • Salamence with Draco Meteor or Outrage as the main move and Dragon Tail as the quick move.
  • Rayquaza with Outrage as the main move and Dragon Tail as the quick move.
