Neural Sensors are one of the many crafting resources you need in Warframe for most weapons or Warframes. You’ll need a lot of them, so it’s not enough knowing where they drop. We’ll also be giving some tips on how to farm Neural Sensors in Warframe to maximize your effort.

[Updated on October 28, 2024 – Guide revised with a more concise method and additional farming tips]

Neural Sensors mostly drop in Jupiter and the Kuva Fortress missions. However, the most ideal farming location would be the following two mission nodes:

  • Cameria, Jupiter (Dark Sector)
  • Any Exterminate Node on Kuva Fortress

Cameria in Jupiter would still be our top pick even if it takes five minutes minimum per run (Survival Mission) since it’s a Dark Sector. Dark Sectors give additional drops and XP, moreover, the enemies are Infested, meaning they come in higher numbers.

Take note that Neural Sensors are rare resources and you shouldn’t expect them to drop in several dozens or hundreds. They can be as rare as Argon Crystals. With resources like these, farming tips can go a long way.

Farming Tips for Neural Sensors in Warframe

You can go to Cameria, Jupiter, and just start firing, hoping the enemies will drop Neural Sensors, or you can employ the following strategies and tactics to get more yield for your effort.

  • Bring a nuker Warframe
    • Dante
    • Saryn
    • Ember
    • Mesa
    • Gara
    • Equinox
  • You can also opt to use Nekros for his ability to loot dead enemies (2x loot, basically)
  • Khora also has a similar ability to Nekros (Pilfering Strangledome)
  • Bring a Smeeta Kavat
  • Use a Resource Booster (you might be able to get one for free in a populated Relay)
  • Farm in Steel Path for higher drop rates, if you can

You can also enlist in a farming run in the Squad Recruitment tab of the in-game chatbox. This allows even newbies to target farm Neural Sensors in Warframe.
