The Tarnished Ring is an unusual item you’ll discover in Remnant From the Ashes. Traveling through the four worlds, you can find many interesting objects without even knowing where they can be used. The Tarnished Ring is the solution to one of the side quests, giving you generous rewards that will help you progress. Follow the instructions below to understand how and where to complete this quest. But before that, you can also check out our guide on how to defeat Ixillis in Remnant From the Ashes.

The Tarnished Ring is a key item in the quest that you can get from Reggie, one of the merchants you can find in Ward 13. Reggie will be able to tell you about this quest after you find the ring because this will give you a new option in the dialog with him. After talking to him, you find out that he has lost his ring and is ready to give a good reward if it is found. If you already have the ring, you can give it to him right after the conversation. If Reggie hasn’t talked to you about this task yet, try talking to him again or approach him after a certain amount of time.

How To Find the Tarnished Ring

If you don’t have the ring, you need to find it. The problem is that there’s no specific location for it. But don’t worry, we know where players usually find it. After analyzing the gameplay of many users, we can say that the best way to find the Tarnished Ring is to visit dungeons. Dungeons are randomly generated areas that players can explore to find loot, face challenging enemies, and unlock the game’s story. Dungeon layouts and contents are randomly generated, making each run unpredictable and challenging. Here is the list of dungeons you can visit:

  • Chapel Station
  • Cutthroat Channel
  • Hidden Grotto
  • The Hidden Sanctum
  • Junk Town
  • Marrow Pass
  • Research Station Alpha
  • Sorrow’s Field
  • Sunken Passage
  • Tangled Pass
  • The Warren

That’s where you have the highest chance of finding the Tarnished Ring in Remnant From the Ashes. Since there aren’t many RNG items in the game, you’ll have to rely on luck. Keep searching the dungeons until you’re lucky enough to find it.

When you return it to Reggie, he will reward you with a certain amount of experience, scrap, and the Scavenger Trait perk. This perk will be very useful for you because with its help you will be able to find even more scrap, which is definitely a plus for your further development. Once you’re done here, feel free to check out our guide on how to get Glowing Fragments in Remnant From the Ashes.

Remnant From the Ashes is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
